PlainOS/Terms

PlainOS terms

Simple terms, in plain language.

These terms cover your use of the PlainOS website and apps. Google Play’s applicable terms also govern purchases and downloads made through Google Play.

Effective 17 September 2026

1. Using PlainOS apps

You may use a PlainOS app for its intended personal or business purpose, subject to the app-store licence that accompanies it. You must not misuse the app, attempt to bypass security, distribute an unauthorised copy, or use it in a way that breaks applicable law or another person’s rights.

2. Your files and decisions

You are responsible for the files you choose to process, save, or share and for having the right to use them. Keep an original or backup when a file is important. Audio enhancement is subjective and cannot repair every recording perfectly.

3. Availability and updates

We aim to keep PlainOS apps reliable, but compatibility can vary by device, Android version, codec, file format, and available storage. Features may be improved, replaced, or withdrawn when needed for security, compatibility, or product quality.

4. Purchases and refunds

When an app is bought through Google Play, payment processing, local pricing, cancellations, and refunds are handled under Google Play’s terms and policies. PlainOS does not receive your full payment-card details from Google Play.

5. Intellectual property

PlainOS names, app designs, software, text, and artwork remain protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms give you permission to use the product; they do not transfer ownership of the product or brand.

6. No professional advice

PlainOS Audio Cleaner is a media utility. It does not provide legal, medical, safety, forensic, or other professional advice, and enhanced audio should not be treated as a guaranteed or authoritative reconstruction of an original event.

7. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent the law permits, PlainOS is not responsible for indirect loss or for loss caused by factors outside reasonable control, unsupported devices or files, third-party services, or a failure to keep an appropriate backup.

8. Privacy

The PlainOS Audio Cleaner privacy policy explains the app’s verified data practices. The app does not upload selected media to PlainOS.

9. Contact
