Common questions

Start here.

Where is my cleaned file saved?

Audio exports are saved in Music / Audio Cleaner. Video exports are saved in Movies / Audio Cleaner. The app also offers Open and Share actions after saving.

Does Audio Cleaner replace my original?

No. It creates a new enhanced copy and leaves the selected original unchanged.

Why can processing take a while?

Noise removal runs on your phone. Time varies with recording length, video resolution, quality mode, selected options, device performance, and device temperature.

Why does the cleaned recording sound mono?

The speech-enhancement model mixes multichannel input to mono. This usually suits narration and dialogue, but it will not preserve a deliberately spatial stereo soundstage.

Can it remove every sound or another speaker?

No speech-isolation system is perfect. Strong overlapping speech, loud music, clipping, or very poor recordings can still affect the wanted voice.

What Android versions are supported?

PlainOS Audio Cleaner supports Android 10 and later.

Is an internet connection or account required?

No. The app is designed to work without internet access and does not include an account system.
